Douglas M. Joyce, the Managing Partner in the firm, focuses his practice on representing commercial lenders in loan transactions. He has extensive experience in real estate secured lending, multifamily and commercial construction lending, commercial and industrial lending, and asset based lending. His clients include large, multinational banks, regional, national and state-chartered banks, as well as several closely held community lenders and private equity lenders.
Mr. Joyce represents lenders in various government-guaranteed and government participation programs, including SBA 7(a), SBA 504, USDA Rural Development and Development Agency participations. He frequently represents lenders in direct purchases of tax-exempt industrial development authority bond issues as well as variable rate “low floaters.” He has completed numerous affordable housing and other public interest tax credit projects.
Due to his extensive experience in the field, the U.S. Small Business Administration has appointed Mr. Joyce as Designated Counsel for its 504 Loan Program.
In addition to representing lenders, Mr. Joyce also represents buyers and sellers in complex commercial real estate transactions. Typical transactions include multi-tenant office and retail complexes and multifamily apartment buildings.
Mr. Joyce is a graduate of The College of William and Mary (B.A., 1991) and Rutgers University School of Law (J.D., 1994). He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. In addition, he is a Member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and Camden County Bar Association. He resides in Moorestown, New Jersey with his wife and three children.
