William T. Cahill, Jr., Partner, devotes his practice exclusively to the representation of lenders in commercial loan transactions. He has extensive experience in commercial lending transactions including term loans, construction loans, asset based transactions, economic development bonds, low-income tax credits and new market tax credits. His clients include both large and small, regional, national and state banks, as well as community and private equity lenders.
Mr. Cahill brings to the loan transaction field years of experience as a trial lawyer representing financial institutions in lender liability cases and commercial loan work-out matters. He served as Special Counsel to the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) from 1989 to 1992.
Mr. Cahill is a graduate of Xavier University (B.A. 1969) and Catholic University Law School (J.D. 1972). He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and is a Member of the Camden County, New Jersey and American Bar Associations. He has held several public positions including Assistant Camden County Prosecutor, Special Deputy Attorney General, Counsel to the New Jersey License Beverage Association, Commissioner, New Jersey State Commission of Investigation; Member of the Board of Trustees for Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital; Solicitor, Collingswood Planning Board; Member of the New Jersey State Ethics Committee.
He resides in Haddonfield, New Jersey with his wife, Jane. They have two children and four grandchildren.
